Gubae Privacy Policy

Gubae is an application dedicated to Ethiopian Christian worship, spiritual growth, and education. It provides song lyrics, the Holy Bible, a private prayer journal, church directories, events, and an educational Library.

This policy outlines what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is protected, and your rights regarding your personal information.

1. Using Gubae Without an Account (Guest Mode)

You can use most of Gubae completely anonymously without creating an account:

You can read lyrics, browse churches and events, study the Bible, and read Library books and articles.
In guest mode, no personal information is collected or transmitted.
Your bookmarks, reading progress, and local preferences remain strictly stored on your own device.

2. Information Collected When You Sign In

If you choose to sign in with Google so that your data follows you between devices, we collect:

Email Address: Used solely to identify your account and authenticate you.
Display Name: If provided by Google, used solely to greet you within the app and to show your name where you choose to take part (see section 4).
We do not collect your Google password, contacts, photos, or any other personal data from your Google account.

3. Data Saved to Your Cloud Account

To ensure you never lose your spiritual notes when switching devices, the following items are synced to your secure private account:

Bookmarked songs, notes, and highlights.
Reading plans, reading streaks, and history.
Follow-up questions asked in the Library.

Your prayer journal is not in this list, and that is deliberate. Prayers are kept on your phone only. They are never sent to us, there is no copy of them on any server, and no administrator can read them. The trade-off is that they do not follow you to a new phone unless your phone's own backup carries them.

Your prayers, notes, and readings belong entirely to you. They are never sold, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising profiling.

4. What Other People Can See

Almost everything in Gubae is private to you. These are the exceptions, and they only happen when you choose them:

Events: If you mark that you are interested in or attending an event, your display name may be visible to other people looking at that event, and to whoever organises it.
Contributions you submit: A song, an event or a church you send in is reviewed by an administrator and, once published, is visible to everyone. Your name is not shown on it.
Questions in the Library: A question you ask is read by an administrator so it can be answered. An answer may be published for other readers; your name is not shown with it.
The Gubae Family badge: If you are a member, the badge appears on your own profile. The note recording how you supported is never shown to anybody.

Nothing else you do in Gubae is visible to other users. Your prayers, notes, highlights, reading plans and history are yours alone.

5. Advertising & Google AdMob

To keep Gubae free and accessible to all believers, we display advertisements provided by Google AdMob:

The Holy Bible is 100% Ad-Free: No advertisements ever appear in the Bible reader, verse screens, or scripture search, for anyone.
Subscriptions: Gubae does not sell a subscription today. If one is offered in future, subscribers will see no advertisements anywhere in the app.
Data Protection: We never share your email, prayers, notes, or reading history with advertisers. Google AdMob may use device advertising identifiers (such as GAID) and diagnostic data in accordance with Google's Privacy & Terms.

6. Financial Contributions & Gubae Family

Contributions (via Telebirr, CBE, M-PESA, or Buy Me a Coffee) are handled directly by those payment providers. Gubae never stores or processes card numbers, bank passwords, or PINs, and no payment ever passes through the app.
Joining the "Gubae Family" is a voluntary gift supporting the ministry and the app. It shows a member card on your profile; it is not a purchase of ad removal, and family members still see advertisements.

7. Library Books & Intellectual Property

Classic Books: All historical books in the Library are in the worldwide Public Domain (published before 1928), free of copyright restrictions.
Articles & Teachings: Gathered from Christian ministries under educational fair-use principles, with full attribution to original authors and sources. Gubae claims no ownership over third-party texts.

8. Data Storage, Security & Deletion

Security: Data is stored with our cloud infrastructure provider (Supabase), encrypted in transit with industry-standard TLS.
Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time inside the app: Settings → Delete my account. You may also request deletion by emailing support@getgubae.com. Full instructions, and exactly what is deleted and what is kept, are on the account deletion page.
Local Data: Everything kept on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app.

የጉባኤ የግላዊነት ፖሊሲ

ለመጨረሻ ጊዜ የተሻሻለው፦ መስከረም 24 ቀን 2019 ዓ.ም (October 4, 2026)

ጉባኤ ለኢትዮጵያ ክርስቲያኖች መንፈሳዊ አገልግሎት፣ ለአምልኮና ለትምህርት የተዘጋጀ መተግበሪያ ነው። የመዝሙር ግጥሞችን፣ ቅዱስ መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን፣ የግል ጸሎት ማስታወሻን፣ የአብያተ ክርስቲያናት መረጃን እና የቤተ-መጻሕፍት ትምህርቶችን ያቀርባል።

ይህ ፖሊሲ ምን ዓይነት መረጃ እንደምንሰበስብ፣ ለምን እንደምንጠቀምበት፣ እንዴት እንደምንጠብቀውና የእርስዎን መብቶች በግልጽ ያስረዳል።

1. መተግበሪያውን ያለ አካውንት መጠቀም (የእንግዳ ሁነታ)

ጉባኤን ያለምንም አካውንት ሙሉ በሙሉ በነጻነትና በግላዊነት መጠቀም ይችላሉ፦

መዝሙራትን መመልከት፣ አብያተ ክርስቲያናትን መጎብኘት፣ መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን ማንበብና የቤተ-መጻሕፍቱ መጻሕፍት ማጥናት ይችላሉ።
በእንግዳ ሁነታ ምንም ዓይነት የግል መረጃ አይሰበሰብም ወይም ወደ ሰርቨር አይላክም።
ያስቀመጧቸው ተወዳጅ መዝሙሮችና ማስታወሻዎች በስልክዎ ላይ ብቻ ይቀመጣሉ።

2. አካውንት ሲከፍቱ የሚሰበሰቡ መረጃዎች

መረጃዎችዎ ከስልክ ወደ ስልክ እንዲከተሉዎት በGoogle ሲገቡ የምንሰበስበው፦

የኢሜይል አድራሻ፦ አካውንትዎን ለመለየትና ለመግባት ብቻ የሚያገለግል።
የመገለጫ ስም፦ ከGoogle አካውንትዎ የሚገኝ ሲሆን፣ በመተግበሪያው ውስጥ ሰላምታ ለመስጠትና በፈቃድዎ በሚሳተፉባቸው ቦታዎች ስምዎን ለማሳየት ያገለግላል (ክፍል 4 ይመልከቱ)።
የGoogle የይለፍ ቃልዎን፣ እውቂያዎችን (Contacts) ወይም ፎቶዎችን ፈጽሞ አንወስድም ወይም አናይም።

3. በአካውንትዎ ውስጥ የሚቀመጡ የግል ይዘቶች

ስልክ ቢቀይሩ እንኳን እንዳይጠፉ በደህንነት የሚቀመጡ፦

ተወዳጅ መዝሙራት፣ የግል ማስታወሻዎችና የቀለማት ምልክቶች (Highlights)።
የንባብ ዕቅዶች፣ የንባብ ታሪክና መንፈሳዊ ጉዞ።
በቤተ-መጻሕፍት ውስጥ የተጠየቁ ጥያቄዎች።

የጸሎት ማስታወሻዎ በዚህ ዝርዝር ውስጥ የለም፤ ይህም ሆን ተብሎ ነው። ጸሎቶች በስልክዎ ላይ ብቻ ይቀመጣሉ። ወደ እኛ ፈጽሞ አይላኩም፤ በየትኛውም ሰርቨር ላይ ቅጂያቸው የለም፤ ማንኛውም አስተዳዳሪ ሊያነባቸው አይችልም። በዚህ ምክንያት ግን ስልክ ሲቀይሩ፣ የስልክዎ የራሱ መጠባበቂያ ካልያዛቸው በቀር አይከተሉዎትም።

የእርስዎ ጸሎቶችና ማስታወሻዎች ሙሉ በሙሉ የእርስዎ የግል ንብረት ናቸው። ለማንም አካል አይሸጡም፣ ለማስታወቂያ ሥራ አይውሉም።

4. ሌሎች ሰዎች ሊያዩት የሚችሉት

በጉባኤ ውስጥ ያለዎት ነገር ሁሉ ማለት ይቻላል የግልዎ ነው። የሚከተሉት ግን የተለዩ ሲሆኑ፣ የሚከሰቱትም እርስዎ ሲመርጡ ብቻ ነው፦

ዝግጅቶች፦ በአንድ ዝግጅት ላይ ፍላጎት እንዳለዎት ወይም እንደሚገኙ ምልክት ካደረጉ፣ የመገለጫ ስምዎ ዝግጅቱን ለሚመለከቱ ሌሎች ሰዎችና ለአዘጋጆቹ ሊታይ ይችላል።
የሚልኩት መረጃ፦ የሚልኩት መዝሙር፣ ዝግጅት ወይም ቤተ ክርስቲያን በአስተዳዳሪ ተመርምሮ ከታተመ በኋላ ለሁሉም ይታያል፤ ስምዎ ግን አብሮ አይታይም።
በቤተ-መጻሕፍት የሚጠይቁት ጥያቄ፦ መልስ እንዲሰጥበት በአስተዳዳሪ ይነበባል። መልሱ ለሌሎች አንባቢዎች ሊታተም ይችላል፤ ስምዎ ግን አብሮ አይታይም።
የጉባኤ ቤተሰብ ባጅ፦ አባል ከሆኑ ባጁ በራስዎ መገለጫ ላይ ይታያል። እንዴት እንደደገፉ የሚገልጸው ማስታወሻ ግን ለማንም አይታይም።

ከዚህ ውጪ በጉባኤ ውስጥ የሚያደርጉት ነገር ለሌሎች ተጠቃሚዎች አይታይም። ጸሎቶችዎ፣ ማስታወሻዎችዎ፣ የንባብ ዕቅዶችዎና ታሪክዎ የእርስዎ ብቻ ናቸው።

5. ማስታወቂያና የGoogle AdMob አገልግሎት

ጉባኤ በነጻ አገልግሎት መስጠቱን እንዲቀጥል የGoogle AdMob ማስታወቂያዎችን ይጠቀማል፦

ቅዱስ መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ 100% ከማስታወቂያ ነፃ ነው፦ በየትኛውም የመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ንባብ ክፍል ውስጥ ለማንም ቢሆን ማስታወቂያ በፍጹም አይታይም።
የደንበኝነት ምዝገባ፦ ጉባኤ ዛሬ የደንበኝነት ምዝገባ አይሸጥም። ወደፊት ቢቀርብ፣ ተመዝጋቢዎች በመተግበሪያው ውስጥ ምንም ማስታወቂያ አያዩም።
የመረጃ ደህንነት፦ የእርስዎን ኢሜይል፣ ጸሎት ወይም ማስታወሻ ለማስታወቂያ ሰጪዎች ፈጽሞ አናጋራም። Google AdMob የማስታወቂያ መለያዎችን (Device IDs) በGoogle የግላዊነት ደንብ መሠረት ሊጠቀም ይችላል።

6. የገንዘብ ድጋፍና የጉባኤ ቤተሰብ

በTelebirr፣ CBE፣ M-PESA ወይም በBuy Me a Coffee የሚደረጉ ድጋፎች በቀጥታ በእነዚያ የክፍያ አገልግሎቶች በኩል ይከናወናሉ። ጉባኤ የካርድ ቁጥርዎን፣ የባንክ ይለፍ ቃልዎን ወይም ፒን ኮድዎን ፈጽሞ አያይም ወይም አያስቀምጥም፤ ክፍያም በመተግበሪያው ውስጥ አያልፍም።
"የጉባኤ ቤተሰብ" መሆን ለአገልግሎቱ የተደረገ በጎ ፈቃደኝነት ስጦታ ነው። በመገለጫዎ ላይ የክብር ካርድ ይሰጥዎታል እንጂ ማስታወቂያን መግዛት አይደለም፤ የቤተሰብ አባላትም ማስታወቂያ ያያሉ።

7. የቤተ-መጻሕፍት ይዘቶችና የቅጂ መብት

ክላሲክ መጻሕፍት፦ በቤተ-መጻሕፍቱ ውስጥ ያሉ ጥንታዊ ክላሲክ መጻሕፍት በሙሉ ከ1928 በፊት የታተሙና በዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ከቅጂ መብት ነፃ (Public Domain) የሆኑ ናቸው።
ትምህርታዊ ጽሑፎች፦ ለትምህርትና ለመንፈሳዊ ግንባታ የተሰበሰቡ ሲሆኑ፣ የጸሐፊዎቻቸው ስምና ምንጫቸው ተጠቅሷል። ጉባኤ በሌሎች ጽሑፍ ላይ የባለቤትነት መብት አይጠይቅም።

8. አካውንትና መረጃን ማጥፋት

አካውንት ማጥፋት፦ በማንኛውም ጊዜ አካውንትዎንና የተቀመጡ መረጃዎችን ከመተግበሪያው ውስጥ ሙሉ በሙሉ ማጥፋት ይችላሉ፦ ቅንብሮች → አካውንቴን ሰርዝ። እንዲሁም በ support@getgubae.com ጠይቀው ማሰረዝ ይችላሉ። ዝርዝር መመሪያና ምን እንደሚጠፋ ምን እንደሚቀር በአካውንት ማጥፊያ ገጽ ላይ ይገኛል።
የስልክ ላይ መረጃ፦ መተግበሪያውን ሲያጠፉ በስልክዎ ላይ የቀረው ሁሉ አብሮ ይጠፋል።
